Hi, I’m Ash

My story started like this….

I’ve always been happiest when I’m creating. Whether it was art, textiles or making something from scratch, having a creative outlet has always been a huge part of who I am. Looking back, I realise just how important creativity has been for my mental wellbeing.

After becoming a mum and being lucky enough to stay at home with my children, life became beautifully busy. Every ounce of my time and energy went into them, and rightly so. But somewhere along the way, I realised I’d stopped making time for me. I loved being their mum, but I also knew it was important not to lose the parts of myself that made me feel happy and fulfilled.

When I was seven months pregnant with my third son, I was really struggling with my mental health and desperately needed something that was just for me. I’ve always loved planning my boys’ birthdays, and one year I decided I was going to do absolutely everything myself… including the balloons.

I’d always ordered balloon displays before, and while they looked nice enough, they never quite had that je ne sais quoi (or, let’s be honest… the wow factor!).

I bought a balloon pump, watched countless tutorials, made plenty of mistakes, popped more balloons than I’d like to admit, and completely fell in love with the process. What started as creating something special for my own family quickly became a genuine passion.

Before I knew it, friends and family were asking me to create displays for their celebrations, and My Little Party Patch was born.

What started as a much-needed creative outlet during one of the hardest periods of my life has grown into a business I absolutely adore. I genuinely pinch myself that I get to call this my job. Every balloon display, backdrop and celebration I create is made with love, creativity and the hope that it brings as much joy to my clients as creating it brings to me.
